Chris Carey

A practical person with practical solutions.

General Manager Chris Carey has maintained continuous employment for the past 40 years in the fields of customer services.

This has included Retailing, Security Agent, Crowd Control Agent, Private Inquiry Agent, Aviation Security Manager to name a few.

His focus has always been to recognise and benefit the persons that he serves.

A married man with two children, two grandchildren has developed Chris to being a more understanding, appreciative, compassionate and connected individual.

Chris has worked in a number of Local Governments in Western Australia. He has gained a reputation for being approachable and responsive to his colleagues based upon his knowledge and experiences within this industry.

Chris has over 35 years of knowledge and expertise associated with the interpretation and application of legislative and statutory compliance in both local government and the private security industry.

As a former Police Licenced Security Agent and Private Investigator for 12 years, he has established a proven and practiced understanding of the requirements when operating a business in accordance with statue law.

During the last 22 years he has been employed as a Ranger, Senior Ranger, Acting Coordinator Community Safety & Rangers in a diverse number of local governments from the South West, Mid West, North West, Kimberley and Perth metropolitan locations.

Currently a financial member of the Local Government Authorised Persons Association (SA), The Australian Institute of Local Government Rangers (NSW), the Security Agents Institute of WA (SAI), Australian Institute of Animal Management (AIAM) and Donor sponsor to Animal Management in Rural & Remote Indigenous Communities (AMMRIC) & the Royal Society to the Protection of Cruelty of Animals (RSPCA).

Previously a Councillor of a Western Australian local government (Shire of Dandaragan) and Full Time Lecturer with TAFE delivering units within Certificate IV in Local Government Regulatory Services. (Ranger)

In 2011, he was awarded the Western Australian Ranger of the Year in recognition of his service to the Shire of Dandaragan .

Combining his knowledge and experience of regulatory compliance in a legislative environment he can provide a comprehensive and highly practical consultancy service as a subject expert.

Since setting the foundations of All About Local Government (AALG) in 2022, Chris has led with innovative, inspiring and strategic options. His focus is to deliver resolutions for clients by choosing the right strategies by providing clear, effective and tailored opinions.
